NORIKO SAKAI
Noriko regularly represents many of the world's largest and most influential financial institutions in their investment and financing activities in Japan. She has particular expertise in assisting clients in structuring and funding complex acquisition/finance deals, as well as cross-border transactions and dispute resolutions.
Noriko assists Japanese and foreign clients in various stages of various types of cross-border transactions, utilizing global professional networks established from her experience as a partner with a leading global law firm in addition to her experience with leading Japanese international law firms.
RECENT WORK HIGHLIGHTS
Her recent work highlights during the approximately half-year period since HIRAKAWA International Law Office was established in January 2017 include the following:
・Acting as fund counsel/assisting asset managers in formation of real estate funds to acquire real estate (well over JPY 40 billion in total);
・Acting as a lender counsel in relation to the real estate development projects;
・Acting as Japan law counsel in relation to the USD 75,000,000 Syndicated Loan Facilities to a Europe based company which has a subsidiary in Japan.
・Representing a developer in acquisition of land as a part of its development project.
